I know this is going to sound stupid. I just bought Finale PrintMusic 2014 about a week ago. Each new score starts with eight measures. I can not, for the life of me, figure out how to add more measures. I know about the measure tool. I've selected add measure. I've selected add measures. Nothing happens and it's incredibly frustrating. Can anyone help? I'm starting to think the program is just defective

The following works in the “full Finale”:

 

Instead of switching to the Measure Tool, try the Selection Tool.

Then, look in the Edit menu.

Or using Speedy Entry, go to the final measure and then press the right arrow as many times as you wish. If Speedy Entry is using its default settings, that should add more measures at the end. If you were trying to add measure in the middle of the composition, you should be looking for Insert Measure Stack, which I would imagine exists in PrintMusic.

If memory serves me, you can just keep entering notes, and the program will add measures.
