This seems like a strange problem to me. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.
I've just replaced some faulty memory that was causing occasional blue screen crashes. Each crash caused Finale to lose the path to its VST instruments and effects, regardless of whether it was in use at the time of the crash. A real pain as it necessitaed setting up the entire orchestra from scratch each time.

If the settings were not saved before the crash, this is expected behavior. If, however, you were able to save first, we need more info.

Also, what VI player are you using?
You will find that the regular users here have our system info in our signatures. This is done in your MakeMusic User Account. It saves a lot of guessing and time when people ask questions.
