In Setup Wizard, "SATB - Piano" is missing from the list in "Create A New Ensemble." I may have deleted it. Is there a way to retrieve this?
Are you using Mac Finale or Windows Finale?
For Mac Finale:
Ensembles are recorded in the ensembles.txt file located in the Finale/Configuration Files folder. You can configure ensembles.txt yourself (it is a text file). See Finale Installation Details for specific folder locations on your computer.
However, if you just need to restore an ensemble you accidentally delete from the “default” Finale installation, then I have good news for you:
When you use the Document Setup Wizard, the Wizard uses files located in your (Mac) user account.
But there is a full “Finale backup” folder hierarchy located at root level.
Finale itself uses this “backup” to restore a file it can not find.
Example:
(your user account)/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale [version]/Configuration Files/ensembles.txt
This is the file used in the Wizard.
/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale [version]/Configuration Files/ensembles.txt
This is the “Finale backup” of the file ensembles.txt.
I do not know about Windows Finale.
But I suspect that the answer is similar for Win Finale.
