I want to write in 3/4 4/4 meter. I want one measure of three, a bar line, and a measure of 4, throughout the piece. I have been able to get 3/4 + 4/4; however, I do not get a bar line at the end of the three measure. I am getting what would be a bar of 7/4.

Any suggestions how I can get a bar line at the end of the 3/4 measures and a bar line at the end of the 4/4 measures? I haven't been able to figure it our, currently.

Set up a 3/4 measure, and then a 4/4. Set the first to display as the composite, 3/4+4/4. Copy the two measures, and Paste Multiple for as many as you need. Select everything except the first measure, and in Measure attributes, set the time signature to always hide.

In that way you do not need to hide time signatures.

 

Just another way to skin the cat.

Mike & Peter,

Thanks so much for your help on my compound meter issue. I did get Mike's solution figured out and am using that for my solution. Works just like he shows!
