how do I maintain a consistent tempo in a song that switches between 6/8 and 2/2 where dotted quarter = half note
1) Is there only 1 (one) time signature switch in the entire song?
In that case use an expression to change the tempo.
2) Or does the time signature constantly switch back and forth between 6/8 and 2/2?
In that case it might be simpler to enter the 2/2 measures as 6/8 measures, using hidden tuplets:
8 Eighths in the space of 6 Eighths
