Hi. A few days ago I moved from MacOS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion) and Logic 9.0 with my instruments samples (Garritan Personal Orchestra 4, Instant Orchestra and World Instruments, along with Native Instruments Komplete and some others) stored on a Gtech external 7200 HDD to MacOS 10.15.7 (Catalina) and Logic Pro X and moved my samples to an external SSD. Then, I opened Logic Pro X. All my software instruments and their players worked perfectly except with Garritan/Aria Player. When I tried to create a new software instrument tack and selected ARIA from the drop down "AU Instruments" list within Logic I got the following error message below:
ARIA Engine: Personal Orchestra Personal Orchestra 4 -- Cannot find instrument bank file at volumes/Gtech/Virtual Instruments/Garritan/Garritan Personal Orchestra 4/Banks/Standard/GPO/FLT.bank.xml. Do you want to unregister this product to make this message go away?
That message gives you the option to choose yes or no. But regardless if I choose yes or no, the error box flashed and re-appears. In order to get out of that I have to close out of Logic. So, to trouble shoot, I went to the Aria player program installed on the Mac itself (Applications). When I launched it I got the same endless error message as in Logic and I have to face quit to make it stop. I thought Aria player needed to be updated so I went to the Garritan sign and downloaded Aria 1.959 and installed it, yet kept getting the same error message. So, I went to my Garritan account and re-downloaded all my orchestra's (the whole folder) and put them where they should go. Same problem. I kept getting the same error message. I thought maybe GPO4 wasn't compatible with Catalina (19.15). So, I uninstalled (following the instructions on the Garritan page) GPO4, then purchased GPO5 and installed from scratch. When I launched Logic and created a new software instrument track and then come ARIA for the AU Instruments drop down, I got the same error message, which requires me to force sit to make stop.
So I've:
1) First, properly moved things over to the new SSD but Aria wouldn't launch.
2) Uninstalled and re-installed existing Garritan products but that didn't work.
3) Uninstalled Aria and GPO4 then purchased new GPO5 hoping the ARIA that was packaged there would fix the issue but that didn't work.
Any suggestions?
