The classical guitar template in Finale provides a comprehensive set of guitar-specific expressions, for fingering (right and left hand, including which string a note is to be played on), bar and position indications, etc.
I'm currently working on a .musx file for a Bach solo cello piece that I found on the Internet, creating a guitar transcription in a different key. Is there a way I can bring those guitar-specific expressions into this document?
Sure, save the expressions as a Library, and load that Library into the document.
To save the Library:
1) Open the Finale document with the expressions.
2) File menu > Save Library…
Give your new Library a name and a place to live.
To load the new Library into the new document, open the new document, and go to
File menu > Load Library…

One thing that makes it a little confusing is that the guitar-specific expression groups (String, PIMA, Fingerings) do not appear in the checkable list of items in the Save Library dialog box, so I had to guess at where they might be included.

Are there any shape expressions? (or are they all text expressions?)
If there are shape expressions, then make sure that you also include Shapes in the Library.
