I have created a two page lead sheet for a jazz combo. The arrangement fit nicely using 4 measures per line. I'd like to adjust the measure width so that the ends of each measure line up vertically with the measure above and below. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

Document menu > Document Options > Music Spacing

You can set the same value for

Minimum Measure Width

and

Maximum Measure Width

Then, apply music spacing, and update layout.

However, this step will not make the barlines line up everywhere.

In the very first system, in the very first measure there is a time signature.

To make room for the time signature the four measures of the first system are “squeezed” a little more than the other measures.

A similar “squeeze” will happen in all systems with a time signature change or a key signature change.

* Would that “squeeze” be a problem?

Thanks Peter, This worked just as I had hoped. Yes, I see first line is different as are the two lines where I have key changes but this is perfect! Thanks. I should probably experiment with the min/max dimension I used a bit to see what the impact would be. I used 1.875" with four bars per line. This filled the width with a 1/2" margin. Lead sheets get crammed so I'm learning how to get as much in a small space a possible. Mike R has been a great help, as well.

Thanks again.
