It has been a couple of years since I used Finale and now it is telling me to "The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information."

Finale from 2014 is nearly 12 years old, and you're also on an old version of macOS from 2019, but it's more recent than that version of Finale. I suspect F2014 was not compatible with a version of macOS that came out five years later. As Finale is no longer being supported or developed (it was circling the drain for at least a year or two before being officially "end of lifed" and unsupported as of this past late August, your only option I think would be to obtain F27 as part of a competitive upgrade to Dorico that is still being offered by MakeMusic, as Finale is not available as a standalone product outside of that competitive upgrade.

Based on my own experience, (and not knowing what the OP needs,) I would recommend they take a look at MuseScore Studio, before spending money on Dorico.

Just my opinion, of course.

Sure. I assumed from his two posts that he wanted a way to use Finale again. But there are certainly alternatives.
