Hi everyone,

It looks like that Finale 27 doesn't like Kontakt 6, so it doesn't show up on the Audio Units Banks and Effects list. Every other other VST that I have is on that list... any thoughts? I'd love to have it back... I use it to work. Thank you guys.

My system: Mac OS Catalina. Native Instruments Komplete 13 collectors edition, recently updated.

I do not know how it works on a Mac, but I have no problems using Kontakt in my Win 10 version of Finale 27.

Make sure Finale can find the path to the Kontakt VST .dll.

Alfredo, there are not any known issues loading Kontakt 6 in Finale v27. So I would expect this to work for you as it has in the past. Try going to MIDI/Audio > Device Setup and selecting Rescan for AU Plug-Ins. The rescan may update Finale's connection with the plug-in and restore it.

If this does not work, use the Submit a Request option at the top of the page here and we can take a closer look at this with you directly via a support ticket.

Hi David,

Thank you for your quick response. I had already done it and the problem continues to occur. It is curious! I reinstalled Finale and Kontakt 6 too. So, I don't know what else to do. I'd appreciate your guidance in order to solve that problem.

Thank you.

Alfredo

Did you install in the default locations? I’m not having problems with Kontakt 6 showing up in 27. If not installed in the default (Users), you might have to navigate to it — after the first time, it shouldn’t be an issue. Native Instruments has more on their web site about this.

Hi Mike,

Yes I did. Unfortunately, every vst is there, but Kontak 6, which is installed as normally as any other. Here there are two screen shots of the menu in Finale application, the other in Mac OS Finder, showing up Kontakt vst. Very strange...

Thank you!

Best.

Alfredo.

Ok, that's strange. Massive X and Komplete showing up but Kontakt not?

How long since you've opened up Native Access? Three days ago I saw 22 updates including Kontakt 6, and ran them. Today, I saw 3 more updates including Komplete and Massive X.

Me, too.

You did reboot, right? In case there's a corrupt path somewhere, perform a Safe Boot. Shut down. Boot while depressing the Shift key and log in when prompted. When all your desktop icons have finished rebuilding, shut down and boot normally.

Mike, thanks again, I have done everything right, including rebooting, everything. It begun to happen after upgrading my Native Instruments stuff to the Komplete 13 Collectors Edition. Since then, no Kontakt 6. I am wondering if it wouldn't be possible to completely clean Finale 27 installation and install it again, as if it were a brand new one on my system. But, I don't know how to do it on a Mac OS. Do you think this would even be considered as an option?

Best,

Alfredo

Hi everyone,

Fortunately, Native Instruments has jus released a Kontakt 6 update. It worked. It is now appearing on the AU plugins list and functioning perfectly. Alleviated.

Thank you all.

Best,

Alfredo.

I just saw that. Two Kontakt 6 updates in 4 days… Ooops! Still shows up for me, too.
