Hi all,

I am working on another book and wanted to playback the musical portion.  For some reason I cannot hear anything.  I am working with Finale and a MacBook Air.  I'd be grateful for advice on how best to configure.  Thanks very much! Ro

First suggestion (assuming other programs give you sound) is to try Reassign Playback Sounds from the MIDI/Audio menu.

What is the configuration in midi audio set up. I believe the configuration is wrong.  Yes I reassigned the playback sounds. Thanks. Ro

If I could have instructions as to what the configurations ought to be then I can make sure I haven't accidentally configured it wrong. thanks. Ro

Thank you for your comments.  The version I have is 26.2

I was fiddling with the settings and not sure if I did something wrong.  I've been able to hear the audio in the past so thats why I wanted some definite info on settings using a MacBook Air. Thanks again!

The latest version of Finale 26 is 26.3. Have you thought of upgrading? It's free.

Do you want to use the Playback via Midi (Smartsoftsynth sounds) or via Audio Units (Garritan sounds) ? (Choice to make in the Midi / Audio menu ).

P.S. : what is your version of MacOs ?

Hi I just want to use the standard playback for score so I can get a general idea of flow of what I'm doing.

10.14.6 Mojave is my MacBook Air. Thank!
