Using a Mac - Big Sur - and Finale Version 26

I'm trying to export an audio file - and there is about 15 seconds of silence right in the middle of the playback file.  It is typically after about 30 seconds, and the silence ranges form 5 seconds to 15 seconds.  I have no idea what is causing this.  I am using both the Garritan instruments that come with Finale, plus the Virtual Drumline sounds through the Kontact player.

I have PLENTY of ram - so I know that it is not taxing the system by playing back all the layers.  But why is there a few seconds of silence in all these exported audio tracks??  Please - can someone help??

15 seconds of silence sounds suspiciously like an unauthorized iZotope or other plug-in. Check your licenses to make sure that any plugs can find them—porting them over doesn't always do that automatically. Regular distortion is the hallmark of an unregistered IK library or plugin.

I had to deal with both last autumn when I put my current iMac Pro in service. Even though I thought I caught everything, I am still surprised nine months later when something that should work doesn't—then I realize it's the first time on this Mac.

I can give you further information to help. I have found that this silence only happens when I export audio and I am MUTING some of the instruments within the "mixer." I just tested - and as long as I don't mute any tracks - I can export the audio fine. But I'm trying to create some "practice tracks" for my students and isolating certain instruments - and here is where the audio export problem occurs. Any suggestions to how to fix this?  Or why this would be happening?

I do this all the time but I don't mute tracks. Instead, I select only the tracks I'm going to play in ScoreManager.
