Did you start the document in F27? there have been problem with documents from earlier versions, since the new default is the Finale Maestro font, rather than the old Maestro.

I was able to start a new F27 doc, and the tremolo worked correctly.

It was a new document. Finale 27. Also this was done with the TG tools easy tremolo.

The issue is not adding the font it is the TG tool 

Ah. In that case, I’m afraid you will have to wait until either Tobias or Finale make the necessary adjustments. (Unless, of course, TG Tools allows you to choose the font of the tremolo sign.)

I did email finale awaiting their advice. Does it work on your end. 

I noticed that TG tools(went to their website) seems to apply to Finale 25/26 and no sign of Finale 27

After applying the Easy Tremolo plugin, I used JW Change > Noteheads > Custom Font > Maestro to change the noteheads.

It's a workaround, but it works for me!
