 I did a test—tried opening a file in Finale 26 that I had created in Finale 27. Seems to work fine. Have others done this, and any pitfalls to know about? (Goes to the possibility that I may be working with a copyist who's still on 26.)

Shouldn't be a problem unless you are using a 27 only feature or enhancement. In that case, the 27 feature is unsupported and it may not look as expected when opened in 26.

 

I recently upgraded my Mac to Monterey and am having issues with 27. Opening those files in 26 has been no problem.

Thx Mike! Just got a new M1 Mac (with Monterey) so I’d be curious to know what issues you’re seeing?
