I have a standard big band score where I only need the treble clef staff for chords and slashes. I would like to eliminate the bass clef staff in my score and my piano part.

How do I do this in Finale 27-PC version. Thanks so much for your help, again!

This works for me:

 

Staff Tool.

Click to the left of the lower staff (= the Bass Clef staff), to select the staff.

Staff menu > Delete Staves and Reposition

Or you can hide the unnecessary staff in specific regions.

The staff must be empty.
Select the systems. Staff tool and menu -> Hide Empty Staves.

In the Group Attributes (staff menu -> Groups and Brackets -> Edit), make sure that  When Hiding Empty Staves, "Hide Normally" is selected.
