Sorry if this has been asked/answered (searched the forum, but found no relevant answers):

How well does Finale (I have v.26) work with Rosetta 2 on the new M1 iMacs? I suddenly need to buy a new iMac (current one is 10 yr old) and am torn between the i5 and M1 versions. We don't need a lot of power and I don't mind upgrading, but because of my wife's work, we need Finale to be reliable.

Please share your experience!

MakeMusic says that Finale 26.3.1 and M1 (under Rosetta 2) are compatible.

I just upgraded to the new M1 Max myself.  Everything works well.  I did have to reset a few setting files and the only problem I ran into was regarding a litany of saints I was creating (with 18 stanza) and it "glitched up". I sent the file to Finale support.  They were very helpful in troubleshooting the issue.  

You should be good to go with either Finale 26 or Finale 27.
