My score page size is set to "legal" -- 8.5x14.

I would like my parts also to be that size, but they are "letter" -- 8.5x11

I have attempted to change the parts page size by going to Document/Manage Parts..., and also trying Document/Page Format/Parts.

In each case, I arrive a place "Page Format for Parts."
I changed the page size to "letter" but it does have an effect

The only way I have been able to apply the change is to go to Document/Edit Part... and change each part individually.

Any suggestions?

All new pages will be affected when you change the settings in

Page Format for Score

or in

Page Format for Parts

 

But already existing pages will not be affected.

This is by design, and what user have requested.

 

To update already existing pages with new Page Format settings, switch to the Page Layout Tool, and use Redefine Pages (look in the Page Layout menu).

 

… or generate parts again (but then you will loose all layout edits already done).

It worked with "Redefine..." when I was in the part view.
"Regenerating" the parts cured a lot of other problems--this is an ancient score from the early 90s.

BTW--and on an unrelated matter, the score was in the Petrucci font. Saving it as .mxl and opening it new in Finaly v27 then changing the font to Finale Maestro worked very smoothly.

This newer version with the newer font system is more powerful and useful than I had thought originally.
