Finale 26  MacOs  Monterey

Lyrics on one file will not highlight for editing.  I wish to upgrade to Finale 27 but how would that be affected by a corrupted file in Finale 26.  And should I keep Finale 26 when upgrading?  I need some help and suggestions.

Are you sure you and the lyrics are in the same layer?

With the selection tool, double-clicking on a lyric will take you to the correct verse and layer for editing.

 

I would keep F26, just in case F27 doesn't work out for you.

David Plank,

 

1) Welcome to the forum!

 

2) Try this:

Selection Tool.

Double-click on the “pesky” lyrics.

Finale will switch to the tool and layer of the “pesky” lyrics.

Now you should be able to edit / delete the lyrics.
