I must be overlooking something simple. I’ve had Finale since 2008 and the tempo was always adjustable in the playback window or next to it. Why can’t find this super basic thing?

It’s there. Do you have the playback window fully open?

Having said that, that window is only for your initial tempo. Changes should be made with the expression tool.

Yes, it was fully open. That was yesterday. This morning I opened the playback window again, and viola .. the tempo feature was there. So weird… but glad there’s no problem, unless it weirdly disappears again . Yesterday, what I saw was the HP feature, under that the “swing” option, then the “Bass Key Velocity” .. the “Tempo” feature wasn’t there. I should’ve take a screen shot
