Windows Operating System -- Finale 27v

Suddenly, all my lyrics have "squares" on them.  I don't know what I did to have this happen.  When I right click on one of the squares, a lyrics positioning dialogue box pops up with Align/Justify, Link/Unlink, and Lyric numbering options.  It will not let me add or delete lyrics.  I've saved the file so any undo list is not possible.

What do I do?

Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds to me like you have inadvertently selected Adjust Syllables. Look in your Lyrics menu, or at the tiles in the Lyrics window.
