This looks like a font problem. You should check that the fonts are correctly installed. As part of the trouble-shooting, investigate whether the fonts will display correctly in other programs.

What entry tool are you using? - Speedy Entry? - Simple Entry? Both entry tools have a “Check for Extra Notes” option.

You could try this: Selection Tool. Select All. Edit menu > Clear Selected Items… Click “None” to de-select everything, then select only “Performance data”.
