JW Staff Polyphony > Layers > Split from voices will split voices in Layer 1 to Layers 1 and 2. Then, you can easily delete one or the other.

I would suggest that you save up a few extra bucks and get the full Finale. PrintMusic was stopped at 2014, and it probably won't be developed further. Why buy instant obsolescence?
