Be sure that nothing is assigned to channel 10, which is reserved for percussion.

Adrian is correct; on a Mac, it’s in the print dialogue. However, Finale’s PDF routine is suspect. Use the graphics tool to export the file as a PDF. This will also give you a smaller file.
