Like Vaughan and George, I also leave Automatic Music Spacing on, only while I enter notes in scroll view, and enter the first set of lyrics in page view. Then, I turn it off for additional lyrics ...
For years, they have claimed there are no archived copies. Have you checked ebay, or similar sites?
.cwp is not a Finale file format, as far as I know. What happens if you change the file ending to .mus? TRY THIS ON A COPY OF YOUR FILE, NOT THE ORIGINAL!!!
Not as far as I know. You just can’t do the same things to the toolbars on a Mac, than you can with windows.
Did you add the lyrics in a different layer? Do the verses all show on the score? If so, double-click on a lyric, and that should take you to the correct setting of layer and verse.

It’s a known issue with Finale 25. They say that the problem has been fixed in F26 (just released.)

Select the lyric by double-clicking on the lyric. You can then delete it. But that also deletes it from the lyric window. If you simply put it on the wrong syllable, and want to keep it for reassig...
