Is this a question? In any case, barlines between staves are normally not used, because of this very problems.

If you enter the tuplet as 4, 16ths in the space of 6, 16ths, you won't get the extra rests.

Normally, music with lyrics does not use barlines between staves, for just that reason. Can you not do what Ben suggests?
