Have you tried restarting the computer? You might also try exporting the file as XML, and importing it back into Finale.

Do the thumb buttons work with other apps? Have you checked Razer for an updated driver? You might just need a different mouse.
Are you stopping playback with the space bar, or the playback controls? Have you tried Playback from Leftmost Measure?
Nope. Sometimes a file will get corrupted for no apparent reason. The XML trick often works to get it back to normal. Again, for no apparent reason.
Export your file as XML, and import it back into Finale. You will lose a little bit of formatting, but you will be able to add lyrics to page 3.
