I'm trying to beam off-beat 8th notes continuously through a 3/2 bar.  I've turned off Finale's auto common time four-8th note beaming feature, it just won't allow me to beam the 8th notes in one continuous stream of offbeat notes.  anyone have any idea?  currently macOS 11.7.3 Big Sur and Finale v27.

I’m not sure what you want. Can you post a picture?

I'm trying to make the beaming in the 3/2 bar look completely connected like in the bar on the left (4/4 bar).

Do you need a “one-click” solution?

Do you need all eighths beamed together everywhere, or only in specific measures?

Or do you just need to do the beaming “manually”? (assuming that you can not even do it manually)

What works for me, is to select the eighth rest, and Join Beam.

- Are you using the Speedy Entry Tool, or the Simple Entry Tool?

You can try this : define the 3/2 as one dotted whole note.

To achieve that : Composite -> use EDU's :

Beat groups : 1 over Beat Duration 6144

More Options : Use a different time signature for display :  3/2
