Under Document Options/Multimeasure rests, is "update automatically" checked? If not, check it, then re-generate parts. That should fix things.

- How do I change the staff size of multiple staves applying to a whole page? Not space between staves.
I would make a copy of the file, then try running redefine pages. Another option, with the page layout tool, copy the layout parameters used on page 5, to page 6.

It's just a choice. It doen't matter what anyone else thinks, which do you prefer? I'm satisfied with Maestro. It's the default and does what it needs to do.

Finale can do all of this, but can you? You need to enter the correct time signature in each measure and then hide the time signature. For example, 8 whole notes in a measure needs a meter of 32/4.
