If you are using Finale (version 25 or 25.1, the latest version) the movie window has been removed in favor of Rewire capability It is gone and almost certainly gone permanently.

This is likely because both Flute and Alto Flute in the original (MIDI) file used the same sound and same MIDI channel. If you are lucky, you have access to the program (DAW?) that created the file...
In MIDI/Audio menu, have you chosen to "Play Finale through VST" or is it set to "Play Finale through MIDI" (which it will be if you started with the Default document)?
Change the 3/8 into a 1/8 and a 2/8 with both time signatures hidden.
What instrument are you inputting? Are you inputting with the help of a MIDI keyboard or directly with the mouse? (In full Finale at least both methods are possible in Simple.)
