Not in my copy of Finale. Are you using the mouse or choosing a note and then typing from a MIDI keyboard? Mine works both ways.

Also check that your finale Audio sample rate and the sample rate of your computer agree at 44.1K or 48K. Sometimes other programs reset one of those settings without one's knowledge.

Mike, I notice that when I tried to use Emvoice with Finale 27, I could not get the vocal MIDI to transfer to Emvoice the way I could in Cubase and Dorico. So unless others can find a way to feed...

Another possibility is to try the Finale 27 demo, especially since upgrade prices are now far less than they used to be. Also try running the Reassign Instruments routine to see if that can help....
