What happens if you move the older Aria Player out of the Garritan folder so only the new version remains there? (I think we are all playing hunches at this point: it is a bizarre problem.)

Ernest, I think Mike H was responding to my earlier post. You don't need to over-react. Is Nino holding out for Finale 7.3? He only mentioned 7.2.

Just a hunch, try running Finale/Aria under Rosetta. If you then hear sound, (since Finale 27.2 is M1 compantible) it means that Aria is having difficulty with the M1 chip.

If you are in doubt, you could try the Finale 27 demo. IIRC it can be installed without overwriting earlier Finale versions if you are careful.

Richard, You need to use the Composite section of the time signature tool to set the grouping of sixteenths and then use the More Options button to simplify the displayed time signature as 7/16.
