Check your Audio Driver in the MIDI/Audio > Device Setup > Audio Setup panel. That's where I would go first on my PC, so perhaps the situation on a Mac is similar.

Mike, IIRC it is the Flute sound that is too quiet rather than the recorder being too loud.
