My original point was that after not having to do this adjustment in another application, because it does seem to understand the context, even the most recent version of Finale requires manual fine...
I would either flip one of the stems so they point in the same direction or adjust the angle of the triplet.
Thanks for the input. That was indeed the problem. The source was C major, destination A minor. Setting the destination to C major also took care of the second problem.
