Non-pitched noteheads

How do I make non-pitched noteheads with x's on them, like with drums? I want them for spoken vocal rhythm parts. Are spoken parts usually notated this way, or a different way

Hi Michael,

After you enter standard notes, select them with the Selection Tool and using the Utilities menu to change the selected noteheads:

And if you are concerned about playback, I usually put the x-notes in a separate layer that I can mute or assign to an unpitched instrument.
