I have yet to find a MIDI keyboard that don't result in a latency between the key is pressed and the appearance of the sound and the notation.

I have tried three different keyboards (I sure that Amazon was getting tired of my returning MIDI Keyboards so shortly after recieving and them out). This proble was occuring with Windows 10, has remained unchanged since I subsequently accidently "upgraded" Windows 11.

I had no differiculty - several years ago - when using Song Writer in using Hyperscribe; NOW, with Finale version: 27.1.0.271, there is a latency (reproducable delay) between when a key is pressed, and when the musical notation appears on the staff and when the tone (note) sounds. (Before, the sound and notation would occur instataneously, as I was playing the notes.

I simply am looking for what keyboards folks are using, and getting satisfactoy results.

I think you're probably wasting your time returning keyboards. The problem is most likely not the keyboard, but something the way your Audio/Midi is set up. You might also first try and update your Finale version to 27.2. That's what I have, I have been using various M-Audio keyboards, just plugged them in (before launching Finale) never a problem, no delay ever.

I agree. I use the Roland A49 with Finale 27.2 and don't notice any real delay. But then again I am no piano player so anything can keep up with me.
