There is a known issue for macOS 13 users when navigating through sub-dialog windows with Stage Manager turned on. If a dialog box is opened in front of the score followed by opening a sub dialog box, upon closing the sub dialog box, focus moves to the score as opposed to focusing on the remaining dialog box. This requires a mouse click in order to change the focus back to the remaining dialog box.

While not a major issue, this behavior can interrupt your workflow. It is recommended to leave Stage Manager 'off' in your system preferences until this can be addressed by Apple in a future update. You can do so by the following: 

  1. Select the Apple menu > System Settings from the top menu bar. The system settings dialog window opens.

  2. Select Desktop & Dock from the left column

  3. Deselect Stage Manager.
