This problem has been resolved in Finale (Version 25).

 

There is an issue in Finale 2014.5 on Mac where some files will crash during playback. If you are experiencing this behavior, please start by deactivating scrolling playback by following the steps below:

  1. Open the document in question.
  2. Click the expansion arrow in the bottom, left-hand corner of the Playback Controls palette.
    Note: If you do not see the Playback Controls palette, click Window > Playback Controls.
  3. Deselect Scrolling Playback.
  4. Try playback.

 

Follow
