If you find that the Copy and Paste commands aren't working in Finale, it's possible that the Edit Filter has been enabled. To check, choose the Edit menu and ensure that there is not a check next to Use Filter.

 

 

If there is a check next to Use Filter, click Use Filter to uncheck it. You can also use the following keyboard shortcuts.

  • Windows: Press ALT+CTRL+F.
  • Mac: Press OPTION+COMMAND+F.

 

After deselecting Use Filter, return to your document and test the Copy/Paste commands again.
