What is happening and why?

On August 26th, 2024, MakeMusic announced the end of sales and development for Finale, Finale PrintMusic, and Finale NotePad.

 

As previously announced, Finale technical support would be available for one year after that announcement. Monday, August 25, 2025 is the last day MakeMusic will offer technical support for Finale.

 

Effective Tuesday, August 26, no new technical support tickets will be accepted. However, ongoing support tickets will be seen through to completion.

 


 

Can I still download Finale?

Yes, installers for your registered Finale products will remain available for download from within your MakeMusic account.

 


 

Can I still authorize Finale?

Yes. In-app authorization will remain active and authorizations can be managed from within your MakeMusic account.

 


 

My computer crashed. Can I still deauthorize?

Yes. In-app deauthorization will remain active and authorizations can be deleted from within your MakeMusic account.

 


 

Are you still offering crossgrades to Dorico?

Yes, the Dorico crossgrade offer will still be available from our store for the foreseeable future. Upgrades to Finale v27 will still be included for users who don’t already own it for the best MusicXML export experience.

 


 

My Finale registration lives under an old email. What can I do?

Please click Submit a Request above to contact the Customer Support team. Provide as much information as you can, such as your serial number and any email addresses or street addresses that we can use to find and update your account. Further documentation may be necessary depending on the situation.
