Apple has recently released the public version of their newest OS, macOS 12 Monterey. We have been testing our Notation and Garritan products with this and have found that are no OS related issues that prevent these products from working as expected.
As such, we consider Finale v27, v26.3.1 and current Garritan products to be fully supported and compatible with this macOS. Finale v27.2 is a Universal Binary application that can be run natively on Apple silicon based machines that are using macOS 12 Monterey. However, previous versions of Finale prior to this require the use of Rosetta 2 on Apple silicon. For more info on this, please click here.
There is one minor text font related issue present in this macOS that you can find more detail about here.
All previous versions of Finale (v25 and earlier) are not compatible with operating systems beyond macOS 10.14 Mojave. No updates will be issued and these releases will continue to remain in their current state. Please refer to our system requirements for operating system compatibility information for each version of Finale.
