I've purchased finale 25.2 - academic version. Thus it can be used on two pc or I am wrong?

I've insert the key two times. On the first pc where I've installed finale now the key is requested again but I cannot insert the activation key because it seems that I've activated more than two finale.

How can I manage this problem? Is a new key necessary?

Since two or three months ago when this post was started, an issue with Finale's authorization stability on Windows 10 has become apparent. For Finale v25 on Windows 10 (and only for some users) the authorization will not stick. Currently, our developers have been working on a solution for this problem and the projected fixes look promising. Since the issue is still in development, there is not a firm time frame for when this will be resolved, but it is, as authorization is a core component of Finale's functionality, a high priority for this to get resolved.

 

So, if you do seem to be running into this issue where authorization will not stick, please use the Submit a request link above (our support for Finale is exclusively online, the online authorization page is set to be updated with that information soon) to get some help from one of our Customer Success agents. We can help set up a temporary workaround pending the implementation of the fix.

Hi Ugo,

You're correct that you may use Finale on two computers. I found your account and saw that you have two authorizations on the account. To save you an international phone call, I'll follow up with you privately via email in a few minutes.

When support was called they said there was nothing they could do to authorize the software i needed to go online to do that, however the online registration stated i needed to call support, curious.

I've again the same problem. Finale has been updated to 25.2 but nevertheless the malfunction is there again. Finale tells me to register it but it is already registered! Maybe another Windows 10 update is the reason of this problem?

 I specify that Finale (second license available) functions without problems with Windows 7.

Thanks for reaching out again! Since the time when the thread was first created, we've discovered that some Windows 10 users are periodically losing their Finale v25 authorizations for reasons other than simply installing the Anniversary Update, as mentioned here: https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/217669668

Our developers have placed a high priority on fixing the underlying issue, but we don't have a release date for a permanent fix just quite yet. So, in the meantime we've been helping customer individually when this stops them. I'll email privately in a moment so we can get you back up and running!
