Resizing noteheads

I am using 2014.5 software version on a Mac 10.12.6. I am having trouble resizing a notehead. One manual says to use the percentage tool but all I see is resizing the staff and not resizing the notehead. Another manual says to use the selection tool, and then go to utilities, but I can't get that to work either. Help?

The help files are online. Access them from within Finale to be directed to the right ones.

When I type resize note heads into the search field of the 2014.5 for Mac User Manual, I get one link only:

I would try the context menu (while being in the % tool).

One of the menu items in the context menu is Resize Notehead (if you clicked in the right place).

Are you using the full Finale, or PrintMusic? PM only has the options to resize the Page, System, or Staff.
