I had major display issues with Finale 2014 using El Capitan for more than a year.  They went away suddenly when I upgrade to Finale 25 (still using El Capitan).  I have hesitated to upgrade my OS to Sieera (OS 10.12) for fear of running into new problems but am aware that one should always use the latest OS available for security reasons.  Should I upgrade my OS to Sierra with Finale 25 or are there any major issues between the two that would casue me to not upgrade?

I can only say that I am using Finale v25 in Mac OS X 10.12.3 (Sierra), and I have not experienced any conflicts.

By The Way:

There is a free maintenance update to v25.3 (just released yesterday), with many bug fixes.

The only way to find out for sure is to clone your present setup onto a external drive. (I use Carbon Copy Cloner.) Go ahead and install Sierra. If anything is amiss, use the clone to revert to your current setup. It's my guess you'll be just fine.

There are many reasons why Apple never, ever recommends cloning.

If you have a Time Machine backup, you can safely upgrade with the knowledge that, if you run into unexpected problems, you can do a complete restore to an earlier date.

Youll be fine.

Is there an up to date article or thread here with current and resolved  problems running OS 10.12 High Sierra and Finale 2014?
