i have downloaded the finale free month to my iPad but despite trying to "view" it in Dropbox it will not open. My system is Apple Mac on iPad Pro can you help?

You can sketch and work out your ideas on your iPad and export it as MusicXML to be imported into a desktop notation app like Finale. This is how I use Notion as I do not care for the work flow of Notion 6 Desktop app at all. For me, it's an inexpensive translator application and nothing more but others love it. Notion cannot do most of the heavy lifting that Finale can.
