Hello,

When I use Finale, I prefer to keep my tool palettes at the bottom of the screen. However, when I switch windows to another application, say Firefox for instance, the palettes relocate to the top of the screen. Is this a bug, or is there some "default position" setting they keep going to? If so, how do I change it?

Have you clicked Save Preferences at the bottom of the File Menu?

Just tried it, but now they relocate to different spots.

In that case, the next thing to try is that you

- quit Finale,

- remove the Preferences file, (Path: (user account)/Library/Preferences/com.makemusic.finale.fprf) *

- launch Finale.

 

When launched Finale will create a fresh, new Preferences file.

 

*) By default the user account’s Library folder may be hidden.

To get to the Library folder, hold down Option, and use the Go menu in the Finder.
