I lost the "Tied Notes" and the "Triplet" selection in my Simple entry palate. Now every note I enter with my curser is a tied note to the next note. I can't get it to stop.

Also, it is time consuming to enter "Triplets" using the "Main entry palate.

Please help. It's driving me crazy!!!!!

Thanks.

In Simple Entry (also in Speedy), you can press the "T" key to toggle the tie on and off.

To start a triplet in Simple, enter (or select) the first note of the triplet and press the "9" key to set up a triplet in the denomination of the note value selected. (There are other key options to work with Tuplets, but you will have to look them up in the manual, since I don't use them.)

Thanks for the info. I will try your suggestions. I just don't know why those options disappeared form the "Simple entry palate".

It's a mystery. I wish I could get them back or somehow reload the original palate.

Thanks again. Joe

Well, I tried your suggestion, but every note I put into the staff is still tied to the next note. I have to hit "T" to get rid of the tie for every note.

When I go to put a note on the staff, the note shows up with a tie before I even select it on the staff.

I can't seem to toggle the "Tied note" selection off.

The triplet hitting "9" works fine.

Anybody have any suggestions before I open a ticket with Finale support????

Thanks, Joe

I'd open the ticket using the "Submit a request" link above. You shouldn't have to deal with an incomplete pallet.

2014.5 has a known issue if you resize your tool palettes. What is your OS?

There's your problem. Set your tool palettes to the default size. Finale 25 does not have this issue.
