I wonder if MakeMusic is aware that absolutely no one has been able to send in one of these crash reports when Finale 25 crashes then offers to send a report?

I have yet to see one not "fail to send".

And absolutely no one I know has ever had one go through, it's always "failed to send".

This is an issue that has repeatedly been brought up on other forums.

If MakeMusic actually wants to know about crashes then MAYBE it would be time to fix the reporting feature that comes with Finale?

I'm using basic Finale 25, but the problem is encountered by others who have different versions of Finale 25.

The OS seems to make no difference either, whether it be Mac users or Windows users.

Just so you know, I'm using version 25, and Windows 8.1.

However, as I said, the same problem is being encountered by people with lots of other combinations of OS and build of Finale 25. This problem has existed since Finale 25 came out. And it was mentioned repeatedly when Finale 25 came out. However, that seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

Michel,

You might copy the crash log to a text file, and send that.

send it where?

Send it to MM Support using the "Submit a request" link at the top of the page.

(You say MM has done nothing since v25 came out, but you haven't upgraded to recent versions of v25. What if MM corrected the problems in one of those updates?)

Open a support ticket, using the link at the top of the page. You can attach the crash log to that.

So? I cannot speak for others but I am not monitoring the rest of the world. We ask about your setup and OS. If you edit your MM User Profile, that info is displayed automatically.

In my case, I have not had a single crash with any build of 25 so, if they aren't being sent, I would not know.

Here is the error log, or at least what appears to me:
(I cannot copy/paste, it won't let me)

[sending_attempt]

Sending error report over SMAPI is disabled (negative prioroty); skipping.

Don't post the error log here, please!

On your computer, copy and paste it into a text document, save it as a PDF, and send it in to MakeMusic technical support.

In truth, I'm dealing with it here, as well. I get Finale crashes, for no apparent reason, while saving, save as, and simply closing a document. I send them all in, and hope they find a cure. However, I save often, and have Autosave on, and Time Machine, so at worst, I'll just lose a few minutes of work.

Anytime someone ways, "Finale crashed, and it cost me 6 hours of work," I can only shake my head.

Since you’re on a Mac, keep Console.app open and when Finale crashes, go to the lines that were generated at the time. As everything is time stamped, the log may show something trying to load — or failing to do so — right before the incident.

Wrong Mike.

I'm on a Windows 8.1 machine.

I am having the same problem "Crash Report Send Fails" running Finale 2014.5.6359.  on HTTP.

I do not remember for how long I had this problem. Long time though.   Maybe the whole existence of 2014.5.  Or earlier ?

One side of this problem is: the crash report flashes on the screen and is gone.

I repeat the question: How many Finale user have this problem ?  Do Make Music people know many users have this problem.  And what makes this bad is: it seems Make Music people do not care if we have it.  No comments, no data, no help, no fix.

I have so had many problems with 2014.5 especially  with audio. Now if I want to run Finale I can only do it by stopping Windows 10 Audio service. .

If I do not stop Audio service FInale tries to start. It flashes program icons on the right lower corner of desktop, then nothing happens, Finale process does not on Task Manager so I  can not kill it . Killing both AUio and Print spooler services frees Finale but then I do not have sound.
