Not enough info to guess what’s wrong. Is this a new install, upgrade, OS update only? What build of Finale — 25.5 or other?

How are you trying to open it? Please be precise. If from the dock, trash the alias and drag it from the Applications folder to rese the path.

OS 10.13 installs leave a lot of corrupt paths in its wake. The symptom is that some of your alias icons are now generic. To rebuild these paths and reset your caches to default, do a Safe Boot: Boot with the Shift key down and log into your user account when prompted. When your desktop icons have finished rebuilding, reboot normally. This will take a lot longer than a normal boot but, on my iMac, it fixed things that I didn’t know were broken. I had to do it with every High Sierra install I did.

By any chance, do you have the French version of Finale ? Which version of Finale, by the way (put that info in your profile) ? Some users in that particular situation found a solution on the IPE Music website. If this concerns you, just ask.
