"Finale PrintMusic 2014.5 quit unexpectedly" message upon launching - unable to open program

This message appears along with a Problem Report window on my Mac every time I try to open Finale PrintMusic. Even after restarting my computer, it still will not open.

Trash the preferences file - it's in User Folder > Library > Preferences. Restart Print Music. Does that work?

Trashimg Preferences will have no effect. This is a known issue with 2014.5 and the 2012-on Mini and other Macs without a built in microphone such as the 2013-on Mac Pro.

The workaround is to plug something into the audio in jack or an audio interface into a USB port.

This was fixed in Finale 25.

Great. When 2014.5 was released, this one came up a lot as you can imagine.
