Hi there:  Need some help with anyone who has had problems with Finale 2014.5 working with High Sierra. All I am getting now is something that looks like Finale Notebook.  Only Simple Entry.  No sharps, flats, ties, etc.  Thanks.....

I think 2014.5 is not supported in High Sierra. You may need to update to Finale 25, or roll back to OS 10.12.

It’s not supported and, in fact, MM announced that it won’t work. 

 

For some reason, it works on my Mac the same as it did in Sierra — with limitations. The palettes must be the default size, for example, or you won’t be able to use them. I suspect that you had resized or otherwise customized them before updating the Mac OS but this should have already happened in Sierra.

 

Did you update from Sierra or an earlier OS? If an earlier OS, it’s probable that it would have looked the same in Sierra. 

 

Upgrading through MakeMusic is $149. There are resellers with better prices including $119 ar Sweetwater, Guitar Center and Musicians Friend — you are emailed an upgrade code and a link to register and download (do not use the Chrome browser for this).
